WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The Greater St. Louis NTMA Chapter hosts a wide range of events designed to inform, connect, and energize our members. From casual networking mixers and shop tours to educational meetings, conferences, joint chapter summit, and fundraising events, our programming creates meaningful opportunities to share ideas, build relationships, and stay engaged with the precision manufacturing community.

Whether you’re looking to expand your network, support workforce development initiatives, or stay current on industry trends, our events encourage member participation at every level and provide real value for both companies and their teams.

NTMA serves as a strong national voice for the precision manufacturing industry, actively advocating on behalf of its members in Washington, D.C. The association works directly with Congress and federal agencies to influence policies related to workforce development, tax reform, trade, regulation, and manufacturing competitiveness.

Through coordinated efforts and national representation, NTMA ensures that the challenges and priorities of small and mid-sized manufacturers are heard. This advocacy helps protect member interests today while positioning the industry for long-term growth and a stronger workforce tomorrow.

Workforce development is a core focus of the  STL chapter. We are committed to strengthening talent by supporting students, educators, and manufacturers at every stage—from junior high and high school through tech schools and career placement. Our chapter actively promotes manufacturing as a viable, rewarding career path and works to close the skills gap facing our industry.

Each year, the STL NTMA invests in scholarships, grants, and local workforce programs through partnerships with schools and industry leaders—made possible by our two primary fundraisers, a golf tournament and a sporting clays competition.

Being part of NTMA demonstrates a company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and the future of American manufacturing.
